John MeixnerOn behalf of the ROE26 team, welcome. Having served this region for more than a decade, I am honored to lead this office as your Regional Superintendent. While our foundation is strong, I am energized to begin this next chapter of service to our schools and communities.

While we will always stay true to our motto, 'Champion Our Community,' we are entering a season of intentional growth. My goal is to ensure ROE26 is the best possible support system for our districts. That means being smart with our resources, steady in our daily work, and deeply invested in the success of every student, educator, and family we serve.

Regional Office of Education

The Regional Superintendent of Schools is the chief administrative educational officer of an educational service region, and the only elected education professional office in Illinois. Since 1865, ROEs have served Illinois with distinction, providing schools with safety, support, and success.
