Early Beginnings

Helping Parents Help Their Children

Early Beginnings provides eligible families the information, support, and encouragement they need to help their children develop to their full potential prenatally to Age 3 through home and center based programs.

A variety of services are provided to families including comprehensive screenings, childbirth education, a book and media lending library, preschool transition plans, play to learn group programs, and the Parents as Teachers personal visit program. Parent Educators are certified using the Parents as Teachers Program model and Foundational Curriculum.

Developmental Screenings

A developmental screening is a snapshot of how your child is doing in the following areas:

  • Communication
  • Fine Motor
  • Gross Motor
  • Problem-Solving
  • Personal-Social

Who is Eligible?

  • Prenatal to children age 3
  • Children at risk for developmental delay
  • Qualifying families after development screening

Early Beginnings has virtual home visiting!

This free program can help you:

  • talk about your problems and stress.
  • get help finding resources such as diapers and food.
  • learn new ways to play with your child during "stay at home" orders.
