INTENDED AUDIENCE: ROE 26 School Counselors, Social Workers, School Psychologist, Family and Support Specialists, ROYALS SEL Staff, LEAP Student Advocates and Educators.
FEE: NA
PD HOURS: 1 PD Hour or CEU per meeting attended. Total will be awarded at the end based on how many meeting you attend.
This SEL Collaborative is geared towards ROE26 School Counselors, Social Workers, School Psychologist, Family and Support Specialists, ROYALS SEL Staff, and LEAP Student Advocates.
Starting in September 2025 and running through April 2026, we will spend one morning a month together brainstorming how to address current SEL situations occurring at the various schools and discussing social-emotional learning supports for students including:
- Trauma and Culturally-responsive practices
- The stress response and how it affects social skills and learning (Brain regulation strategies - Dr. Bruce Perry)
- Restorative practices
- Cultural responsive, equitable and inclusive practices with our diverse student population
- Educator wellness, mindfulness practices, compassion fatigue, etc.
We will also host a Community Resource spotlight speaker requested from the group about community resources that will benefit schools and students and their families.
