Transitioning to Born to Learn: A Parent Educator’s Perspective

Transitioning to Born to Learn: A Parent Educator’s Perspective

Change can be both exciting and challenging. As Parents as Teachers affiliates begin using the Born to Learn curriculum and its new platform, parent educators are discovering new opportunities while navigating the learning curve that comes with any transition.

To explore this experience, Christine Nicholson, PAT IL State Office TA, spoke with Julie Foulk, a parent educator with Early Beginnings in Macomb. Julie shares her honest reflections on adapting to the new platform, what has surprised her, and the benefits she is beginning to see in her work.

Whether you are just getting started with Born to Learn or are already building confidence, we hope Julie’s perspective offers encouragement, practical insights, and a reminder that becoming comfortable with something new takes time, patience, and practice.
