The LEAP Program and Project Stay In are celebrating an extraordinary turnout at this year’s McDonough County Back-to-School Event! Thanks to the unwavering support of our community, 322 local students and their families are fully equipped for the upcoming school year with fresh supplies, sharp new haircuts, and the confidence to succeed.

- 41 school physicals and essential immunizations completed on-site.
Making a Difference for Local Families
Behind every statistic is a family whose burden was lifted. One local mother shared that after recently earning her college degree and transitioning into a new job, her family experienced a temporary gap in health insurance. Facing a $600 out-of-pocket cost for her son’s mandatory school physical, she wasn't sure how she would cover the expense. Thanks to the free medical services provided at the event, her son received his required physical on time—saving her family a major financial hardship while they finalize new coverage.
