LEAP FY26 Impact & K–3 Expansion Update

LEAP FY26 Impact & K–3 Expansion Update

The LEAP (Leading, Educating, and Partnering in Schools) program has delivered significant student support across our 5 partner school districts throughout the 2025–2026 school year. Backed by 10 dedicated Student Advocates, the program continues to drive measurable academic and attendance success.

Key FY26 Outcomes

  • Direct Impact & Engagement: Served 328 total students and provided 6,749 total hours of direct student support, including 12,381 direct student meetings. Advocates created 748 SMART goals to keep students on track.
  • Academic Success: Achieved a 100% graduation rate and a 94% course pass rate (1,287 of 1,358 courses passed with a D or higher).
  • Attendance Improvements: Maintained an overall student attendance rate of 92%, with 71% of participating students reaching a 90% or higher attendance rate and 62% improving their attendance over last year.
  • Family Support: Conducted 1,585 types of parent outreach including meetings, phone calls and text messages.

Looking Ahead: K–3 Expansion Amendment

While LEAP currently serves students in grades 4–12, we are officially seeking to bring these supports to our youngest learners. We have submitted a formal amendment to ISBE to expand LEAP services to K–3 classrooms, aiming to introduce early attendance intervention, foundational behavioral support, and family resources right at the start of a student's academic journey.
