Kerri Allen is New Public Health Administrator for McDonough and Schuyler County Health Departments

The McDonough and Schuyler County Health Departments are pleased to announce that the appointment of Kerri Allen, RN, BS to the role of Public Health Administrator for the McDonough and Schuyler County Health Departments has been approved by the Illinois Department of Public Health. Andrea Ratermann, McDonough County Board of Health President, was notified by letter from Dr Ngozi Ezike, M.D. Director of the Illinois Department of Public Health, that Kerri Allen meets the qualifications requirement for the position of Public Health Administrator under the Certified Local health Department Code (77 Ill. Adm. Code 600) and is therefore approved.

“I would like to say thank you for this opportunity to serve and represent the great residents of McDonough and Schuyler Counties, the Departments’ Board of Health members and the top notch staff of both health departments. I have strong McDonough County roots, including being born in Macomb, attending, and graduating from Western Illinois University, finding a spouse who is also from Macomb, working several years as a Registered Nurse in the community, including 5 years at MDH and 10 years at MCHD as the Community Health Director. I am very excited to have been chosen and state approved to be the Administrator for both county health departments. I have very deep respect, loyalty, and pride in serving in this role and for both communities. I look forward to promoting health, safety, and wellness, building stronger connections, and continuing to collaborate with our community partners. I bring with me hope to continue the great services we currently offer, while also looking forward to bringing new programs and services in the future to better serve our community’s needs.”
