TRS is Coming to You!

You may be several years away from retirement, but it's never too early to start learning about your TRS benefits.

As an Illinois educator, you are not in Social Security, so your TRS pension will be the most significant part of your retirement income.   The more you know now about how your TRS benefits work – and what you can do now to strengthen those benefits – the better your future will be.

We understand how busy you are and that you probably don't have much time to travel to a TRS office to get a better understanding of your retirement benefits.

But this summer, TRS is going to try something new. They are going to Bring TRS to You.

In this new program, a TRS representative will set up shop at our Macomb Regional Office of Education #26 location and meet one-on-one with Tier 1 or 2 members like you.  This is a quick, convenient way to learn about your specific benefits and what you can do to help yourself.

TRS and ROE26 we would like to invite you to meet with one of the TRS counselors.  A counselor will be at 130 S. Lafayette, Suite 200 in Macomb during June 25-27, 2019.

You may register now in the secure TRS member account area
for your one-on-one session.  After logging in, select "Bring TRS to You" under "Schedule" in the left navigation bar.   Pick a date and time for your session with a TRS counselor.

If you have not established an account, please use your Member ID and follow the steps within this brochure
 to set up your account.

We recommend that you provide TRS with your home email (if this was sent to your work email address) so you can get notices over the summer about Bring TRS to You and other helpful information from TRS.
