INTENDED AUDIENCE: School Counselors, school social workers, Outreach Workers, LCPCs, LCSWs, and other school staff looking to use play to build rapport with children.
FEE: $75.00
PD HOURS: 4
Attendees will be able to:
- Understand the basic foundations of play therapy, its role as a therapeutic approach for children, and its value for children in a school environment.
- Explain how play is a natural language for children and how it facilitates emotional, cognitive, and social growth.
- Utilize simple play therapy strategies that teachers and school staff can use in their daily interactions with students to build trust and rapport, creating a supportive environment.
This training will include experiential activities so participants should be prepared to engage in play activities. CEUs will be provided to LCPCs, SWs and RNs.
