This training is designed for district and school leaders, safety teams, and relevant stakeholders committed to enhancing their crisis response frameworks in alignment with state standards.

This comprehensive four-day training series is designed to equip ROE #33 educators, administrators, and emergency management personnel with the tools, knowledge, and collaborative opportunities necessary to ensure the safety and well-being of all students and staff.

Day One (June 2) will center on Crisis Management Plans, beginning with a comprehensive overview of the requirements set forth by the Illinois School Code. Following this, each participating district will present and engage in peer discussions about their existing Crisis Management Plans, fostering cross-district collaboration and shared learning. In the afternoon, intra-district and district-specific group sessions will allow for deeper discussion and plan refinement, culminating in interactive tabletop exercises to apply crisis response strategies in realistic scenarios.

    Participants will:
    - Gain understanding of the school code requirements in the Behavior Threat Assessment Plan
    - Review own Threat Assessment Plan
    - Brainstorm ideas through Round Table Discussion of other District Plans
    - Practice executing plan through Tabletop Exercises
