"Teach Like a Pirate" by Dave Burgess - A Five Day Online Book Study
Beginning with an inspirational tone, "Teach Like a Pirate" motivates readers to re-evaluate their purpose for teaching. Author Dave Burgess then shares a variety of techniques to help educators build rapport, enthusiasm, and high levels of student engagement in their own classroom. This one-week book study will focus on finding our passion as teachers, sharing our best classroom strategies to embed the "Pirate" way with our own students, and building a professional learning network that can extend beyond this book study. This one-week book study will take place online using Google and Flipgrid. Participants will read and post each day for 5 days.
