Trauma-Informed Practice Online Course 1

This course provides introductory-level information regarding:
- Understanding trauma and chronic stress
- The impact of trauma on brain development and learning
- Effective strategies for responding to students impacted by trauma
Format: Self-paced weekly reading and activities postings will occur on Mondays,
with discussion board response activities occurring throughout the week. Open
office hours will occur two times each week for questions and discussion.
Intended Audience: Educators, Pupil Personnel Service Providers (Counselors,
Social Workers, Psychologists), Administrators
