INTENDED AUDIENCE: This training is for substitute teachers and paraprofessionals and meets the requirements of Public Act 100-596, which requires training for short-term substitute teachers. Participants will leave with an evidence of completion certificate as documentation to indicate they completed the training.

DESCRIPTION:  

Topics covered will include: 

Professionalism, legal and ethical issues, special education, setting expectations, trauma informed schools, restorative practices, behavior strategies, meaningful instruction, lesson plans, and student engagement.

Participants will be provided a ZOOM link prior to the session and handouts will be available.
