Temporary Closure of All Illinois High School Equivalency Testing Centers

Due to the rapid spread of the COVID-19 virus, and pursuant to the Illinois Shelter in Place directive given by Governor Pritzker through Executive Order 2020-10 issued on March 20, 2020, the Illinois Community College Board (ICCB) is implementing a temporary closure of all Illinois High School Equivalency (HSE) Testing Centers including public-facing, private and walk-in testing facilities through April 7, 2020. All HSE Testing Vendors have received communication.

ICCB staff is available remotely to answer test-taker questions, handle education and employment verifications as well as to process other requests, within our capability.  We know that most of these requests are handled through the Regional Office of Education (ROE). We will post this information to our website so that test-takers can access official records through the ROE offices throughout the state.

Locate the ROE office in your area at http://iccbdbsrv.iccb.org/roesearch/citysearch.cfm. Additional information is located on our website at https://www.iccb.org/adult_ed/illinois-high-school-equivalency/ or Cook County at http://www.cookcountyhse.org/.

The ICCB is continuing to monitor communications and will provide updates through our website:  www.iccb.org and through the listservs. If you have any questions, please feel free to email us at:  [email protected] or contact me at [email protected] or [email protected]. We will respond as quickly as possible.
