INTENDED AUDIENCE: ROE26 School Counselors, Social Workers, School Psychologist, Family and Support Specialists, ROYALS SEL Staff, LEAP Student Advocates and Educators

FEE:  NA

PD HOURS: Offered at the end of the school year per participant per meetings they attended during the year. Total offered will be 8 hours (if all meetings attended) CEU’s will be provided by Lincoln Prairie Behavioral Center

• This Social-Emotional Professional Learning Community is geared towards ROE26 School Counselors, Social Workers, School Psychologist, Family and Support Specialists, ROYALS SEL Staff, LEAP Student Advocates and Educators.

  Starting in September and running through April 2025, we will spend one morning a month together for 1 hour brainstorming how to address current SEL situations occurring at the various schools and discussing social-emotional learning supports for students including:

  - Trauma and Culturally-responsive practices

  - The stress response and how it affects social skills and learning (Brain regulation strategies - Dr. Bruce Perry)

  - Educator wellness, mindfulness practices, compassion fatigue, etc.

  
  

  We will also host a Community Resource spotlight speaker requested from the group about community resources that will benefit schools and students and their families.
