This training will focus on how educators can reconnect and build relationships with students that will promote resilience for all.
Information will be shared on how retention and recall are affected by the chronic stress everyone has been experiencing during the COVID-19 pandemic.
We will gain a greater understanding of our stress response during a crisis and how ongoing stress hinders one’s ability to process information and how it affects our communication.
We will explore ways to build resilience through utilizing trauma-informed educational practice in and out of the classroom including self-care, mindfulness, and social-emotional learning strategies, which provide a safe and secure environment that will enhance academic learning.
