INTENDED AUDIENCE: Individuals who are seeking INITIAL training qualifications for teacher evaluation.
PD HOURS: AA Credit or PD Hours
This two-day academy is for educators who are seeking initial training qualification to be legally qualified to conduct evaluations of licensed personnel. The training aligns to the Illinois School Code competencies defined by Administrative Code Part 50, Section 50.420 (a-b). Participants will be able to use assessments and measurement models to determine student growth. Participants will link teacher and professional development to evaluation results by using data from the evaluation rubric, other evidence collected, and best practices related to student growth evaluation. Participants will understand sources of personal bias and learn to recognize and control bias when conducting an evaluation and determining results. This course includes a pre-assignment, which must be completed and submitted to the presenter no later than Friday, September 10, 2021.
