Illinois Bicentennial STEM Fusion campaign to award 25 Illinois schools unique technology curriculum

The Governor’s Illinois Bicentennial Signature Legacy Project has partnered with Illinois Math and Science Academy to provide 25 deserving elementary and middle schools with the highly renowned STEM Fusion curriculum program.

IMSA Fusion is a three-year teacher professional development and student STEM enrichment program for Illinois students in grades 4 – 8 who are talented, interested, and motivated in mathematics and science. IMSA Fusion places a special emphasis on students who are historically underrepresented in those areas.

The schools will be chosen based on serving predominately under-represented populations (including rural schools), a commitment to embedding IMSA Fusion into the regular school day, requiring teachers to undertake 5 full days of professional development, and a sustainability plan to continue the IMSA Fusion after the three-year award expires.

Applications can be submitted through http://bit.ly/FusionBicentennial

Applications are due by April 13th, 2018. To learn more and apply for this opportunity, please see the attachment to this email, which includes additional information as well as the application link.

Please disseminate this email far and wide, as we want as many schools across Illinois as possible to have the opportunity to apply for this program.
